A fantastic role has become available for an Events Supervisor with one of our clients based in the heart of Dublin City Centre.  (Office based – Monday to Friday)

The role in a nutshell:

Your role as an Events Supervisor, you will be delivering world-class event experiences, including executive and customer meetings, off-sites, employee engagement functions and charitable fundraisers.

When hosting client events, you will liaise with some of the best-known global brands, from in-person to virtual as well as hybrid experiences.

The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, good customer service skills and strong organisational abilities. This position can expect interaction with C-suite executives, customers and partners as well as working closely with the hospitality, facilities, and marketing teams.

Main duties include:

  • Responsible for operational excellence of our clients’ events, such as executive receptions, partner and non-profit events and employee functions
  • Determining event goals and tracking success metrics
  • Setting up registration page, coordinating speaker rehearsals
  • Liaising on attendee list and registration badges preparation;
  • Leading event planning calls and preparing planning documents;
  • Draft and present event quotes to the team and the event host;
  • Ensuring smooth and effective event delivery on site, including the set up, execution and break down
  • Acting as the main point of contact for event host both before the event and on the day;
  • Assisting with onsite registration process;
  • Manage third party relationships (such as catering, design and entertainment agencies), including coordinating supplier payments as well as the legal and H&S paperwork
  • Research on and present creative event formats as well as the design and entertainment options that meet the assigned budgets
  • Support consistency of the company brand and product positioning at events
  • Prepare project updates for the management team
  • Maintain and continuously improve department documents and/or event playbooks

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 5-6 years of successful event management experience in B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team as well as work autonomously
  • Experience in budget tracking and analysis
  • Ability to assess and prioritise workload in a strict deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to creatively negotiate stakeholder demands
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and remain calm and professional whilst under pressure
  • Experience in non-profit/charity is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
