Are you an experienced HVAC Test & Balancing Engineer looking for your next challenge?

My client is expanding their commissioning team and are seeking a motivated, technically strong HVAC TAB Engineer to work on exciting projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. You’ll be involved in delivering high-performance HVAC systems for pharmaceutical, life science, healthcare, data centre, commercial, and industrial facilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Testing, adjusting, and balancing HVAC air and water systems
  • Performing airflow, static pressure, water flow, and system performance measurements
  • Supporting commissioning and functional performance testing activities
  • Reviewing HVAC drawings and specifications to verify correct installation and operation
  • Troubleshooting HVAC system issues and working closely with project teams to achieve optimal performance
  • Producing professional TAB and commissioning reports in line with industry standards
  • Working on projects within pharmaceutical facilities, cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare environments, data centres, and commercial buildings

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years’ experience in HVAC Test & Balancing
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, pumps, and associated plant
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel

Desirable Skills

  • CIBSE certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Commissioning experience
  • Knowledge of BMS/BAS systems
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, life science, healthcare, or data centre environments
  • Experience using Shortridge, TSI, or similar balancing equipment
  • Air tightness testing or cleanroom certification experience
