Are you looking to build your career in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Building Services Engineering? My client has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, technically minded Junior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing specialist team.
Working across HVAC Test & Balancing, Pre-Commissioning Water Treatment, and Mechanical Services projects, you’ll play a key role in preparing cost estimates, tender submissions, and supporting commercial activities on high-profile projects within the pharmaceutical, data centre, healthcare, and commercial sectors.
Main duties include:
✅ Preparing estimates and tender submissions
✅ Reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications, and P&IDs
✅ Supporting commercial and project delivery teams
✅ Assisting with contract administration, variations, and cost reporting
✅ Tracking tender opportunities and supporting pipeline development
✅ Collaborating with engineers, project managers, suppliers, and clients
The ideal candidate will have the following:
✔ Degree, HND/HNC, or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline
✔ Strong analytical and numerical skills
✔ Excellent communication and organisational abilities
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
✔ Interest in HVAC systems, commissioning, water treatment, or M&E services
Desirable Experience:
• Reading and interpreting P&IDs and mechanical drawings
• Exposure to HVAC, commissioning, water treatment, or validation projects
• Familiarity with BSRIA, CIBSE, NEC, JCT, or estimating software such as Bluebeam, CostX, or Buildsoft
