Due to continued success, my client is looking for a proactive, commercially minded Business Development Executive with substantial experience within Facilities Management, Cleaning, or Security services.

The job in a nutshell:

The ideal candidate will be generating high-quality leads, developing opportunities at early stages, and establishing a strong pipeline of potential clients. You will have knowledge of FM operating models including TFM, IFM, and Property Management and leverage this expertise to identify, qualify, and nurture new business prospects throughout Ireland.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Generate quality leads through research, networking, outbound outreach, and market analysis.
  • Identify and qualify new business prospects within FM, Cleaning, and Security services.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline that aligns with monthly and quarterly commercial goals.
  • Partner closely with the Commercial Manager to advance qualified opportunities through the sales process.
  • Connect with prospective clients to learn about their operational needs, service challenges, procurement frameworks, and decision-making criteria.
  • Prepare and deliver customised capability presentations, proposals, and introductory materials.
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all lead-generation activities, client interactions, and opportunity stages in the CRM system.
  • Produce monthly reports summarising outreach efforts, qualified opportunities, proposals submitted, and secured business.
  • Stay updated on FM industry developments, procurement practices, competitor offerings, and emerging market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, mobilisation, marketing) to ensure alignment on service capabilities and client expectations.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Proven experience in Facilities Management, Cleaning, or Security services, ideally in business development, operations, or commercial roles.
  • Strong grasp of FM delivery models such as TFM, IFM, Bundled Services, and Property Management.
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, pipeline management, or initial-stage sales activities.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Highly motivated, organised, and goal oriented.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Willingness to travel across the country as needed.
