Overview

My client, a luxury hotel, is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager for an immediate start.

This role is focused on driving corporate and conference sales, developing new business opportunities, and managing key client relationships to maximise revenue.

Main responsibilities include:

Business Development

  • Identify and secure new corporate and conference business
  • Meet weekly targets for sales activity and appointments
  • Conduct proactive outreach including telesales and follow-ups

Account Management

  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of key accounts
  • Build long-term relationships with corporate clients and agencies
  • Ensure consistent revenue growth across all accounts

Sales & Client Engagement

  • Attend client meetings, sales trips, and networking events
  • Conduct hotel site inspections for prospective clients
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events

Market Analysis

  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
  • Carry out competitor analysis and rate benchmarking
  • Track lost and declined business to identify future opportunities

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a hotel sales role (corporate/conference preferred)
  • Proven experience in business development and account management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Target-driven with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Full clean driver’s licence and access to own transport
